POD Minimum Requirements and Recommendations

Minimum Laptop Standards

Laptops

• Laptops must be able to connect to wifi and have a current browser able to utilize Google Education apps and general websites. Battery life should allow students to use the laptop for a full day of classroom instruction. 
  

Tablet

• If students are using a tablet as a POD, they must have a bluetooth or manually connected keyboard, with the ability to connect to wifi and a current browser able to utilize Google Education apps and general websites. Battery life should allow students to use the laptop for a full day of classroom instruction.

Software

• Productivity software (minimum is Google Apps for Education)
• Office 365 for Students

Recommended Accessories

• A carrying case to protect the laptop and its accessories.
• A USB flash drive of at least 4GB for file sharing.
• An external hard drive at home for data backup.
